Anne Byrn’s basic sugar cookie recipe is easily adaptable to your tastes, making it perfect for holiday parties or bake sales.
Set a rack in the middle of the oven and heat it to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees C).
In a sizable mixing bowl, combine cake mix, butter, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract.
For 30 seconds, mix with an electric mixer at a low speed.
Stop the machine and use a rubber spatula to scrape the bowl’s sides.
Increase the mixer speed to medium and beat for 30 to 45 seconds, or until the mixture forms a sticky ball.
