Apple Butter Recipe
This is a simple apple butter recipe that can be altered to your liking with use of spices.
In a sizable stainless steel or enamel-coated saucepan, combine Honeycrisp apples, Granny Smith apples, and apple cider; bring to a boil while stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for 20 minutes or until mixture is reduced by about half.
Bring to a boil while stirring in sugar and lemon juice to the apple mixture.
Reduce heat to medium-low, then simmer the mixture for about 25 minutes, or until it is very thick.
