Apple Cranberry Crisp
a delicious combination of cranberries and apples with a crunchy topping. a preferred alternative to plain cranberries at Thanksgiving.
Set oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees C).
Combine the oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
For a crumbly mixture, stir in the melted shortening and water.
Combine the cornstarch and cranberry sauce in a big pot.
After bringing to a boil, turn off the heat.
Add the apples and stir.
Spread into a glass baking dish 8×8 inches in size.
Overlay the apples with the crumbled oat mixture.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the apples are soft, in a preheated oven.
Serve hot
