Beer Glazed Brats and Sauerkraut
Bratwurst or knockwurst are covered in a flavorful beer glaze and served on a bed of sauerkraut for a German-inspired meal that goes great with a cold beer.
Celery and caraway seeds should be ground in a mortar and pestle before being set aside.
In a sizable nonstick skillet over medium heat, add the bratwursts.
Pour over the brats the mixture of beer, brown sugar, dry mustard, onion powder, black pepper, dill weed, crushed celery, and caraway seeds that has been stirred to dissolve the brown sugar.
Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer.
Ten minutes later, cover.
