Black Rice
This black rice pilaf with onion and almonds is a unique, flavorful side dish that is quick and easy to make and pairs well with many mains.

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

Add the almonds, onion, and black rice; cook and stir for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the almonds are lightly toasted.

Bring to a boil after adding water and a bouillon cube.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid has been absorbed.
