A delicious cake for any occasion is lemon cake layered with blueberry pie filling and topped with homemade whipped cream cheese frosting.

Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).

Prepare two 8-inch pans with oil and flour.

Cake mix, water, egg whites, vegetable oil, and lemon extract should all be combined thoroughly in a bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed for about two minutes.

Fill the pans with the batter.

Cook in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.

Prior to transferring it to a wire rack to completely cool, let it cool in the pans for 10 minutes.

Cream should be beaten in a chilled bowl with an electric mixer until soft peaks are almost ready to become stiff peaks.
